Our History
Coral Shipping Corp. (Coral) was incorporated in Liberia in 1998 and since June 15th 1998 it has established a branch in Greece for the sole purpose of providing ship management services. The principals and management of Coral have a long experience in the field of ship owning and management. Coral provides its own crew for its vessels and handles all maintenance and construction supervision by its own staff.
During its sixteen year history Coral has managed tankers ranging from small chemical tankers up to very large crude carriers. While primarily the Company evolves the management of crude and product tankers, it has for many years been involved in the management of chemical tankers. Presently, the Company is managing a fleet of small product and chemical tankers.
Most of the tankers managed by Coral are involved in the bunkering and lubricants trade under time charter to Oil Majors, National Oil Companies and Independent Traders. Our tankers are trading in South America, Europe, the Arab Gulf and the Far East in the fields of:
Marine Fuels Deliveries
Marine Lubricants Deliveries
Transportation of Chemicals
Transportation of Dirty and Clean Petroleum Products
Due to the trading patterns of our current fleet we have become experts in outfitting our vessels with proper equipment to perform ship to ship operation ranging from primary and secondary fenders to marine hoses, flow meters and samplers. Furthermore, we have crew with long experience and high skills in manoeuvring their vessels along side other vessels and delivering effectively and efficiently marine fuels and lubricants.
Coral also manages a 110 KT shore facility owned by an Oil Major which is utilized for the storage of marine fuels and provides ex-pipeline bunkering services to calling vessels.
The principals of Coral have historically been operators of Aframax and Suezmax tankers. This is a sector of the market to which we intend to return once we feel that the market conditions are favourable to do so.
